High Season in Pattaya

For me, the arrival of the American holiday of Thanksgiving marks the beginning  of the tourist season in Thailand. The most popular go go bars are getting full every night and the good looking girls are starting to have their pick of the  punters most evenings. Traffic is also much heavier and it is starting to take  twice as long to drive across town, especially on the weekends and forget finding  a parking space in the Royal Garden or Big C parking lots, they are crammed to the gills.

The good part of this time of year is that some of the better looking girls  who have been on holiday visiting the family in the north of Thailand have come back to town and are back in the bars looking for their own farang every night. Also the beginning of tourist season marks the end of the rainy season so it isn't all bad.

I'm getting ready for my annual road trip to Vietnam and Cambodia so I have  been making the rounds and seeing some of my steady girlfriends because I know  from experience that at least half of them won't be here when I return. The bar business is a hard way for the girls to make a living and between the ones that leave the business because they can't take the working conditions and the ones that manage to catch a farang to keep them up, at least half or possibly  more leave the business every year.

Yesterday afternoon I went by the Welkom Inn with one of my expat friends and  had a great short time with one of my favorites, Gai. I've been a regular customer of hers for over two years and while I don't manage to see her every week, I always enjoy spending time with her. After going back to the condo for a little relaxation I headed out to the ninety-nine area of Thai brothels north of Pattaya  on Sukumvit. There I saw another old friend, Nok, and we had a great session. While it is usually hit-or-miss when you get one of the brothel babes from ninety-nine,  I always have a great time with Nok. I'm sure going to miss all of my expat  friends as well as my steady girlfriends from Pattaya but I'm also looking forward to the adventure of heading out on the road and seeing new sights and making new friends.
